I was pleased to see the new issue of Stargate magazine in my mailbox this morning. It pleased me even more to see that it was the gals of the 'Gate that were featured this time around:

Yes, it's that time of year again - the time when Christmas movies pop up on almost every channel. Many of them I've seen almost every year since I was a baby - like Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty The Snowman.
Over the years, the Christmas movies have evolved from those early animated and narrated short tv specials to the two-hour Lifetime tv movies, to full-blown theater movies.
This got me thinking of some of my favorites through the years.
- Angel in the Family (Tracey Needham, Ronny Cox, Meredith Baxter, John Pyper-Ferguson)
- His & Her Christmas (Dina Meyer, David Sutcliffe)
- On the Second Day of Christmas (Mary Stuart Masterson, Mark Ruffalo)
- Comfort & Joy (Nancy McKeon)
- Snow Wonder (Eric Szmanda, Mary Tyler Moore)
- Family Man (Tea Leoni, Nicholas Cage)
- Miracle on 34th street (Maureen O'Hara)
- Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer (animated)
- Frosty, the snowman (animated)
- A mom for Christmas (Olivia Newton-John, Doug Sheehan, Doris Roberts)
- A Christmas Romance (Olivia Newton-John, Gregory Harrison)
- How the grinch stole Christmas (Jim Carrey)
- Home Alone (McCauley Culkin)
- While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman)
- A very Brady Christmas (the regular Brady Bunch cast)
- and one that's not a Christmas movie, but usually gets aired on tv at least once during the Holiday season (and my all-time favorite movie) The Sound of Music
I think there's more, but can't remember which ones at the moment.

The Simpsons are celebrating 20 years, and it’s featured in the new issue of TV Guide
I don’t really watch the show, but the first thing I thought of when I saw this issue is “I’ll bet the General Jack O’Neill would love this issue!”

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly features an 'in memoriam' section for many of the celebrities we've lost this year. Looking through the list, it's shocking to see all of the 'big names' that we've lost this year. -- Natasha, Michael, Bea, Patrick, Farrah, Ed, Mary, Paul... wow!

The CSI family is alive & well and having fun at family bowling night.
Think... "A la cart" at a bowling alley instead of go-cart racing.
( rolling heads, gutter balls, weed smoking, hanging and familiar faces abound )

Call it 'Bitchy Monday'. And yet, it's Marg Day! That makes it a bitchy fun day!
Why is it a bitchy day today? First of all, there's something wrong with this picture:
It's a 'V', Morons! Vassey! Vassey! Love ya anyway, Liz!
( the bitchy fun continues inside )

Well, this was the final installment of the "trilogy" - the CSI gimmick where Ray Langston shows up in all CSI episodes this week - including Miami & New York. It still didn't make me watch the other two shows. So... gimmick = fail.

It’s the 40th birthday of SESAME STREET!! Yay! Those wonderful muppets are featured in the new issue of TV Guide.
We’re keeping the clouds away and having a fun Friday – in preparation for another episode of Sanctuary tonight!
( click here, click here – you know you want to see the latest gossip! )
as I mentioned at the beginning, there’s a new episode of Sanctuary airing tonight, and that reminds me to tell you about the new charity in which Amanda, Damian and a few others from the show are starting. It’s called “Sanctuary for kids” and it’s a non-profit foundation that serves to provide sanctuary for children who do not live with the right of safety in their lives. You can visit their new website at SanctuaryForkids.org. I love that Amanda, Damian & some of the others are very involved in things like this.

CSI 10x06 Death & the Maiden
After finishing this one, I find myself singing this old Patsy Cline tune -
"oh stop the world and let me off.
I'm tired of going round and round.
I've played the game of love and lost
Oh stop the world and let me off"

The new issue of People arrived today.
This is the first I've seen of the CSI crossover promo:
What is it with celebrities bringing out their sob stories and tarnishing their reputations themselves? I don't get it.
I saw ET had an interview with Chaz Bono last night about his transition. What are your thoughts on his transition? I heard Cher say that she doesn't really understand it, but will support Chaz.
I thought this was a great inspirational story. (But not enough to get me off my butt & exercise)

What is with the persistent crappy weather for this entire year? Cold, rain... rain, cold... sucks!
Yes, it's another gloomy, rainy day in the Upper Midwest. So I needed to find something to brighten things up a bit. I found a little bright spot in my mailbox with the new issue of TV Guide, featuring Mark Harmon & Cote De Pablo on the cover. It was great to see Mark & Cote together this time instead of Cote & Michael (which is also a great combination, but a bit overused lately). And love the face in the cake! Mark is such a rascal! (and a very CUTE rascal!) LOL
